The continuous story of Bungalow Bill

After the Benefit of Mr. Kite
Bungalow Bill retired.
Years of running
an ever decaying show
with poor friend Rocky Racoon,
after a catastrophic attempt
to imitate the dangerous path
of  Butch Cassidy
and the Sundance Kid).
Finally, they realized
that dialogues like
'Hey bulldog, I'm the walrus'
were a complete failure
here, there and everywhere,
so Bill and Rocky made
the final act and the curtain falled.
Bill tried to fix his holes
as best as he could,
payed the taxman
and took the long and winding
road, singing 'I'm a loser'.
'I should have known better
that there's a place
where I can go,
when I feel low,
when I feel blue...',
he also sang.
When he founded it,
he established.
Bill lives now in a bungalow
he built under the suburban skies
of Penny Lane, with a wonderful
sight to Strawberry Fields.
He's not 'Bungalow Bill' anymore,
just  the fool on the hill,
but he doesn't care.
Nothing bothers him now.
He's going by
with a little help
from his friends.
Now he is free as a bird,
he visits, now and then
his dear Prudence.
There's no twist & shout any more,
nor too much monkey business in his life.
Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never knows.
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
& the  Magical Mystery Tour is over.
For the record,
Beethoven & all that
was buried at the Shea Stadium in New York City,
together with the mythical Ed Sullivan's show.
Now he's sixty-four
and a day in his life
is remembering the good times
with Vera, Chuck & Dave.
[Vera Čáslavská, the wonderful
olympic gymnast before Nadia);
Chuck Berry  and Dave Clark
of the homonimous Five...
(¿or better We Five?)
And at winters,
after a hard day's night,
he'll be fine with a taste of honey,
and lighting the fire
with Norwegian Woods.
The important thing for him
is that there are all together now
(six feet under) because
all things must pass, ¿you know?
And that's it.
Cry baby cry
and carry that weight.
See you anytime at all,
eight days a week...
You know my name,
look at the number...
BB
P.S. I love you
It's all right Ma, I'm only bleeding  (BD)
