Rashied Ali Day‏

Free jazz and avant-guard percussionist Rashied Ali 
first came to the attention of the jazz world working with 
John Coltrane during his final years.

After Coltrane's death he became important to the 
continuing development of the genre as bandleader 
and owner of a New York club. 

Today, Jazz on the Tube remembers Rashied Ali.
