Geeklist goes to the Node Summit and hosts the Pre-Summit meetup with Sails.js creator Mike McNeil!

Dear Geeklist fan,

(Why wouldn't we! We were the first social platform to use node.js + express in production in the front and back end all the way back in April 2011)

If you're coming into town for Node Summit (or you're already in SF) we're hosting a Pre-Summit kickoff meetup the night before Node Summit! On the eve of Node Summit the creator of the rapidly growing Sails.jsframework, Mike McNeil, will be presenting Sails.js for the first time in San Francisco.

If you didn't already know, Sails.js makes it easy to build custom, enterprise-grade Node.js apps. It is designed to resemble the MVC architecture from frameworks like Ruby on Rails, but with support for the more modern, data-oriented style of web app development.

So on Monday night, Dec 2nd at 7pm - Come enjoy some food, beer, Sails.js wisdom and meet up with other Node Summit attendees pre-event! (Space is limited and you won't want to miss Mike, Sails or the free beer!Sign up here)

Then Geeklist is going to the 2013 Node Summit and we’re bringing members of the Geeklist community with us!  Our friends at the Node Summit have provided the Geeklist community with an offer to receive 25% off registration tickets! (Use the word "GEEK" when registering for the event here) You'll get to meet some of the Geeklist team there at our stand as well!

Business leaders and technology experts will be gathering together to explore how Node.js is enabling the creation of real-time, high-performance, and scalable networked applications.  Through content-rich discussions, panels, and featured presentations, speakers will delve into the important role that Node.js plays in the growing web ecosystem. Attendees will learn how Node.js impacts businesses and consumers today and hear visionary ideas for future implementations of the runtime.

The widespread adoption of Node.js in such a short period of time is nothing short of astounding. It is virtually unheard of for the biggest names in the technology world to throw their support behind and put such a heavy reliance on something that has yet to reach version 1.0, but that is exactly what has happened with the adoption of Node.js.

Be sure to check out the agenda and register with discount code ‘GEEK’ for your 25% off tickets.  We hope to see you there!

By the way, in case you hadn't heard - NPM needs your help! Geeklist is a proud sponsor of NPM and if you Node you should be too! Sponsor NPM!
