Today marks the birth of singer
and lyricist Johnny Mercer.
In his honor we're spinnin' his
original 1943 recording of "Blues
In The Night," the most famous
song to his credit, sung as a duet
with Jo Stafford.
He wrote the song to appear in the
film of the same name, where it was
first performed by William Gillespie.
